Bardes Interiors

Information site for a leading Chicago interior designer, with two galleries.

The client needed a clean and simple site to display information about their worki, including galleries for interior photographs and press releses. Ease of maintenance was also a requirement, so I built a simple administrative backend. The galleries use custom content types, field groups, a view for displaying the gallery overviews, and a custom module to create the gallery detail pages.

Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health Prospective Students

Orientation for prospective students of a top public health school

After completing the EPIC site, Jon and I had the opportunity to build another Drupal site for Columbia University. This one is for new and prospective students of the Mailman School of Public Health. This site was built with Drupal 7, which has turned out to be quite robust and a real pleasure to work with.

We used 8 custom content types, nodereferences (gotta love 'em!), jCarousel Views for the home page slide show, quicktabs, and fancybox. The FAQ pages use jQuery accordions for a tidy look.

The theme is a subtheme of Omega, and enhanced with Delta and Context.

The most complex part was the department pages; they reference external degree definitions, faculty members, and have a fast FAQ system with teaser and full content popups. The area at the bottom uses quicktabs to display faculty information, as well as other content customized for each department.

Hosting is at Blackmesh, video content serving by Vimeo.

SWOC

SWOC is the Web community supporting women of color who have doctoral degrees in any discipline of science, technology, engineering or mathematics.

I rethemed an existing site, and contributed to a revised site architecture and general Drupal configuration. I used content profile to add extended profile information, and radically changed the appearance of the profile input and editing via custom templates and theming. The professional history and education fields are nodereference fileds, using noderelationships to allow creating editable lists.

Allies Edibles

Online store and information for a gourmet chocolatier

Allies wanted an online store, and ways to reach out to their customers with news and information.

I created a mini-blog feature, since Zen Cart does not provide one. I also added a way to create custom combinations of products.
