The site owner is a consultant and trainer, and well-regarded author of books and training courses for her area of expterise. Visitors can purchase materials online from the integrated store or links to Amazon. There are samples, electronic donlads, resources for professionals, and integrate with a newsletter service.

Allies wanted an online store, and ways to reach out to their customers with news and information.

I created a mini-blog feature, since Zen Cart does not provide one. I also added a way to create custom combinations of products.

I took an existing site written in Perl, optimized it, and added new sections using PHP classes. Since there was a virtual host for each city, the Apache configuration needed to be optimized also. New features were added every year, providing world-wide searching and ad posting.

This store wanted to expand their operations by offering an online catalog of selected products.

Poets can upload and share poems, choose from fonts and backgrounds, vote on poems. Custom PHP backend and CMS. There are both fee and pay services.

A way for this merchant to showcase new products and communicate with their customers. No sales, just stories and news blasts.

The gallery wanted to display photographs of their items in a gallery. There is also a small catalog of products for sale, information about their art, and information about tours they coordinate.

I was building Zen Cart sites at the time, and the client needed gallery and blog features, which Zen did not provide. This is a melange of Zen Cart, WordPress, and Gallery 2. It proved to be a difficult design, having to work with such different tools. I soon switched to Drupal, which offers all these features and more, and haven't looked back.

This site has been revised over the years, but there are remnants of my original design. The site was originally built with a custom PHP CMS backend.
